PFAFF Admire 1000 Overlocker Product Review
The PFAFF Admire 1000 is a superb choice for sewers adding an overlocker to their set-up for the first time, as well as dressmakers who want reliable seam finishing without a complicated machine. Set-up is straightforward, with clearly marked thread paths taking you through each looper and needle step by step.
Its 16 built-in stitches span two, three and four-thread sewing, which means you can produce strong construction seams, neat edge finishes, decorative seams and rolled hems on one machine. The two-thread converter and stitch finger are included in the box, so you can sew fine rolled edges on lightweight fabrics straight away.
The differential feed keeps knits flat and stops lightweight wovens puckering, while the adjustable presser foot pressure gives smooth feeding on thin through to thick fabrics. An integrated seam guide helps you keep every seam straight, and the trim bin catches offcuts as the blade trims your fabric edge.
At up to 1,300 stitches per minute, long seams and batches of garment edges take far less time than finishing on a standard sewing machine. Handy touches like the built-in accessory storage and safety lockout on the front cover make this PFAFF overlocker a practical machine that will serve you for years.

Frequently Asked Questions About the PFAFF Admire 1000
Let us help with the answers.
Is the PFAFF Admire 1000 suitable for beginners?
Yes. The controls are simple and mechanical, the threading is clearly guided and the included accessories cover everything you need to get started.
What stitches can the PFAFF Admire 1000 sew?
It offers 16 stitch options, from strong four-thread construction seams through three-thread edge and seam finishes to fine two-thread rolled hems, covering a wide range of projects.
Can it handle stretch fabrics like jersey?
Yes. The differential feed adjusts how fabric moves through the machine, which means knits sew flat without stretching or puckering.
How do I sew a rolled hem?
Select a rolled hem setting and the machine wraps the fabric edge in thread for a fine, neat finish on lightweight fabrics. The included stitch finger and two-thread converter cover the two-thread options, and the manual walks you through each set-up.
Is threading difficult on this overlocker?
No. Each thread path is colour-coded and the tension dials are lay-in, so you simply follow the printed guides. This model threads manually rather than using air threading.
What warranty comes with this machine?
The PFAFF Admire 1000 includes a 2-year PFAFF warranty covering parts, electrics and labour.
How fast does the PFAFF Admire 1000 sew?
It sews at up to 1,300 stitches per minute, considerably faster than neatening edges on a standard sewing machine, so garments come together quickly.
Our standard width fabric can be cut as a Fat Quarter, measuring 50cm x 1/2 the width of the bolt. Above is an example of how your fabric will be received, depending on the quantity ordered.
We also offer a sample service, where you can order 1 single fat quarter of any standard width fabric, to have at home and compare colours. When you are finished, you can send them back to us for a refund (feel free to contact us for more information on this service).
Our fabric can be cut as a Long Quarter, measuring a minimum of 25cm x width of bolt. We will supply the fabric as a continuous length (eg; if you bought 1.25m it will be sent as one piece of fabric).
