The Woodsy Patch Quilt Pattern is a free downloadable project created to accompany Andover’s A Woodsy Cottage fabric collection. Designed as a warm, nature‑inspired throw, this pattern uses simple patchwork blocks to showcase the collection’s woodland motifs, textured blenders and cosy autumnal palette.
The layout is beginner‑friendly, with clear instructions for cutting, block assembly, layout, borders and finishing. Ideal for curated kits, workshops and seasonal displays, the Woodsy Patch Quilt offers a relaxed, rustic aesthetic perfect for autumn and winter sewing.
Finished quilt size 54" x 60"
You will need:
- 1/4 metre of each of the 24 fabrics in the Woodsy Cottage Fabric Collection or you can purchase a Jelly Roll of your choice instead of cutting your own 2.5" strips
- Border: 2 metres
- Binding: is made with leftovers of the 1/4 metres of fabric

Backing: 3.75m
Our standard width fabric can be cut as a Fat Quarter, measuring 50cm x 1/2 the width of the bolt. Above is an example of how your fabric will be received, depending on the quantity ordered.
We also offer a sample service, where you can order 1 single fat quarter of any standard width fabric, to have at home and compare colours. When you are finished, you can send them back to us for a refund (feel free to contact us for more information on this service).
Our fabric can be cut as a Long Quarter, measuring a minimum of 25cm x width of bolt. We will supply the fabric as a continuous length (eg; if you bought 1.25m it will be sent as one piece of fabric).
