Create a breathtaking heirloom quilt that celebrates nature, the seasons and slow stitching. Alice’s Country Diary Quilt blends English Paper Piecing (EPP), hand embroidery and quilting, inspired by the author’s botanical artwork and countryside observations. Featuring 25 unique embroidered blocks, delicate wildflowers, insects and beautifully illustrated plant lore, this project offers a rich, textural journey through the year.
The quilt combines EPP rings, Liberty Tana Lawn fabrics (or your preferred quilting cottons), 10 essential embroidery stitches and 40 DMC thread colours to create a 68" x 68" masterpiece. With iron‑on transfers, clear step‑by‑step instructions and a blend of hand‑sewing with machine assembly, this book is ideal for quilters, embroiderers and makers who enjoy detailed, mindful craft.
