Our on-site engineers have over 20 years of experience and work on everything from older mechanical machines to the latest computerised models. Whatever you sew on, it's in safe hands.

We service and repair all brands, regardless of where you bought your machine. Typical turnaround is around 3 weeks.

Keeping your machine happy between services

A little care between services goes a long way.

  • Clean out the bobbin area after finishing each project.
  • Change your needle every 8 to 10 hours of sewing.
  • Use the right thread and needle combination for your fabric.
  • Keep your machine covered when it's not in use.
  • Follow the oiling instructions in your machine's manual.

Dropping your machine off

All machines need to be brought into our Redruth shop in person. We're unable to accept machines by post for servicing.

No booking needed. Just bring your machine in during opening hours and we'll take it from there.

Please get in touch to arrange in advance so we can plan for multiple or commercial machines.

Servicing questions

Do I need to book an appointment?
For a single domestic machine, no booking is needed, just bring it into the shop during opening hours. Schools and semi-commercial customers should get in touch first so we can arrange it in advance.
Do you service machines I didn't buy from you?
Yes. We service and repair all brands, regardless of where you bought your machine.
How long will my service take?
Turnaround is typically around 3 weeks, though it can vary with how busy the workshop is and whether any parts are needed. We'll keep you updated throughout.
Can I post my machine in for a service?
Servicing is drop-off only, machines need to be brought into our Redruth shop in person. If your machine has developed a fault, see my machine has a problem for repair and collection options.
What if my machine needs a repair rather than a service?
We can diagnose faults and carry out repairs too, with diagnosis and minor repairs from £35. We'll always confirm the cost with you before doing any work.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most items can be returned within 14 days of receipt. Items cut to length (such as fabric or ribbon), opened software and downloadable products cannot be returned unless faulty. Machines purchased via finance with repayments already started are also non-returnable. See our full returns policy for details.

Sewing machines ordered before 3pm Monday to Friday are despatched the same day for next-day delivery. For other items, Royal Mail Tracked 24 orders placed before 12pm are despatched the same day; Royal Mail Tracked 48 orders are despatched within 2 working days. We sell fabric in two ways: by the quarter metre (ordered in multiples of 0.25m, sent as a continuous length) or as Fat Quarters (pre-cut pieces around 50cm x 55cm, perfect for patchwork and quilting). Choose your preferred option on the product page. If you're unsure how much to order, contact us and we'll help.

Yes. We're based in Redruth, Cornwall and open Monday to Saturday, 9:30am to 5:00pm. There's free customer parking and accessible entry at the rear. You're welcome to come in and try machines before you buy.
