The Moda Thatched – 108" Extra Wide Quilt Backing features the signature Thatched textured overprint scaled for wide‑width backing fabric. Printed on premium 108‑inch quilting cotton, this extra‑wide version offers a smooth, seamless finish for quilt backs, eliminating the need for piecing while maintaining the rich tonal depth Thatched is known for.
Ideal for quilts, duvet covers, wall hangings, tablecloths and other large‑scale sewing projects, the Thatched extra‑wide backing provides excellent coverage and value. Its subtle painterly texture coordinates effortlessly with Moda basics and collections, making it a versatile choice for modern, traditional and seasonal quilts.
Moda's quilt backing fabrics have a 200 thread count which gives the fabric a lovely silky finish and feel. Moda's patterned 45 inch wide quilting fabrics usually have a 60 thread count so the quilt backing fabrics will feel more silky than the Moda quilting fabrics.

Our standard width fabric can be cut as a Fat Quarter, measuring 50cm x 1/2 the width of the bolt. Above is an example of how your fabric will be received, depending on the quantity ordered.
We also offer a sample service, where you can order 1 single fat quarter of any standard width fabric, to have at home and compare colours. When you are finished, you can send them back to us for a refund (feel free to contact us for more information on this service).
Our fabric can be cut as a Long Quarter, measuring a minimum of 25cm x width of bolt. We will supply the fabric as a continuous length (eg; if you bought 1.25m it will be sent as one piece of fabric).
