Our standard width fabric can be cut as a Fat Quarter, measuring 50cm x 1/2 the width of the bolt. Above is an example of how your fabric will be received, depending on the quantity ordered.
We also offer a sample service, where you can order 1 single fat quarter of any standard width fabric, to have at home and compare colours. When you are finished, you can send them back to us for a refund (feel free to contact us for more information on this service).
Our fabric can be cut as a Long Quarter, measuring a minimum of 25cm x width of bolt. We will supply the fabric as a continuous length (eg; if you bought 1.25m it will be sent as one piece of fabric).

The Janome Memory Craft 1000 is a two-in-one sewing and embroidery machine designed for passionate sewers and ambitious crafters looking for a machine that keeps up with their imagination. Customising and monogramming enthusiasts will also love the 17 fonts in multiple languages. The compact footprint makes it perfect for sewers working in a small space. The swing-out embroidery arm converts from sewing to embroidery in seconds without packing one machine away and setting another up.
For sewing, there are 300 built-in stitches that cover utility, decorative and 15 one-step automatic buttonholes, with a 7mm maximum stitch width and 5mm length. The Superior Needle Threader, automatic thread cutter and easy-change magnetic needle plate keep setup and changeovers fast, while the 7-piece feed dog system and adjustable presser foot pressure give the control needed across light cottons, denim and quilted layers. The Speed Control Slider, Start/Stop button and knee lifter mean you can sew with or without the foot pedal, whichever suits the project.

Materials and Build Quality
The Memory Craft 1000 has been engineered around a compact A3 footprint, which is unusual for a machine that handles both full sewing and embroidery duties. The embroidery arm swings out from inside the body when you need it and tucks back in when you don't, so you're not constantly clearing space or reattaching a separate module. At roughly 10kg with the embroidery unit, a moulded carry handle and an included soft cover, it's straightforward to move between rooms or take to a class without feeling fragile.
Two needle plates are included as standard: the regular plate with a wide opening for zig-zag, decorative and embroidery stitches and a dedicated straight stitch plate with a small round hole for precision sewing. Janome's magnetic system lets you lift one off and drop the other into position in seconds with no screws or tools. The straight stitch plate's small hole prevents fine fabrics like silk, jersey and lightweight cotton from being pushed into the bobbin area, which means cleaner topstitching, crisper quilt piecing and far fewer skipped stitches at the start of a seam.
The needle plate sensor detects which plate is fitted and locks out any stitches that aren't compatible, preventing the expensive needle and plate collision that's easy to cause when the straight stitch plate is in place and the wrong stitch is selected. The upper thread sensor pauses the machine if the top thread breaks, the optical bobbin sensor warns you before the bobbin runs out and the drop feed sensor monitors feed dog position. An auto power off function shuts the machine down if it's been left idle, so the MC1000 quietly handles the technical housekeeping while you focus on the project.
The Difference is in the Details
The MC1000 sews at up to 860 stitches per minute and embroiders at 660 stitches per minute, both controlled smoothly through the Start/Stop button and Speed Control Slider, handy when you want to ease into a tricky seam or let the machine run flat-out on a long straight run. Time saving features add up faster than you'd expect, the automatic thread cutter trims top and bobbin threads at the press of a button, the auto-lock button ties off neatly at the end of a seam without manual reverse stitching and the needle up/down stop function leaves the needle in the fabric for pivoting around corners or appliqué edges. None of these feel like much in isolation, but across a quilt top or a run of cushion covers they shave real minutes off every project and keep your hands on the fabric instead of the scissors.
Behind the scenes, several engineering touches work together to keep every stitch consistent from the first project to the thousandth. The 7 piece feed dog system grips and moves light, medium and heavyweight fabrics evenly, so you're not fighting the machine when you shift from quilting cotton to denim or a layered bag panel. The horizontal rotary hook delivers smooth, quiet bobbin pickup with minimal thread drag, which means cleaner stitch formation top and bottom and noticeably less risk of looping or knotting underneath your work. An optical bobbin thread sensor warns you before the bobbin actually runs out, far more useful than discovering an empty bobbin halfway down a seam and the needle plate sensor stops you accidentally selecting a zig-zag stitch when the straight-stitch plate is fitted, protecting both the needle and the plate from costly collisions. Can I use the MC1000 as a sewing machine without setting up embroidery?
Yes. With the embroidery arm closed, the machine works as a regular sewing machine. The arm only needs to be released when you want to embroider, so day-to-day sewing is unaffected by the embroidery hardware sitting inside.
