The Heavy Weight Thread Guide (HWTG) stabilises tension when using thicker threads, allowing clean top‑stitching on denim, canvas, leather and layered materials.

The machine includes a Floating Function, which slightly lifts the presser foot to reduce drag and prevent shifting when quilting, sewing knits, velvet, or multiple layers. Combined with up to 11 lbs of presser foot pressure, industrial pretension threading and a vertical full‑rotary hook, the HD9 QC offers consistent stitch formation across both fine and heavy fabrics.
