Our standard width fabric can be cut as a Fat Quarter, measuring 50cm x 1/2 the width of the bolt. Above is an example of how your fabric will be received, depending on the quantity ordered.
We also offer a sample service, where you can order 1 single fat quarter of any standard width fabric, to have at home and compare colours. When you are finished, you can send them back to us for a refund (feel free to contact us for more information on this service).
Our fabric can be cut as a Long Quarter, measuring a minimum of 25cm x width of bolt. We will supply the fabric as a continuous length (eg; if you bought 1.25m it will be sent as one piece of fabric).
Janome Atelier 6 AE Product Review & Demonstration
Marking ten years of the Atelier Series, the Atelier 6 AE arrives with a refreshed look. The chassis is slimmer with gentler curves, and the area above the needle has been streamlined to give a clearer view of your work as it passes under the foot. Inside, a rigid die-cast aluminium frame anchors the machine for stable sewing at speeds up to 1,000 stitches per minute. Designed for dressmaking, quilting, crafting and home furnishings, this is a fully computerised machine that brings together generous workspace, considered controls and Janome's superior fabric feeding in one capable package.
The Atelier 6 AE comes loaded with 196 built-in stitches, including 10 one-step buttonhole styles and one font with four alphabets, all selectable through an LCD display with touch panel function keys. 91 needle positions give you fine control over topstitching, zip insertion and decorative work, and a quick-change needle plate lets you swap to the included straight stitch plate without tools. With 9mm decorative stitches, mirror image, stitch elongation, twin needle setting, stitch start-over and machine lock all accessible from the touchpad, it gives confident sewers a serious feature set without a steep learning curve.
Practicality runs through the build. Six LED lights spread across three locations keep your work area shadow-free. Auto tension, an automatic thread cutter, the superior needle threader and 7 levels of presser foot pressure handle setup and adjustments cleanly. The slide speed controller lets you cap your top speed for tricky seams, while the lock stitch button and programmable needle up/down free your hands when pivoting corners or piecing patchwork. Storage is genuinely thought through too: frequently used feet sit neatly under the top cover, and a tray on the slide-off sleeve arm holds bobbins close at hand.
For quilters and home-dec sewers, 210mm to the right of the needle and the included extra-wide extension table give real room to manoeuvre full-size quilts, curtain panels and bag pieces, with 120mm of clearance under the arm to feed bulky layers through. The AcuFeed Flex layered fabric feeding system walks tricky materials evenly from both directions, which is particularly useful on slippery fabrics, plaids and quilt sandwiches. Can I add embroidery capability later?
