Janome 360DC Sewing Machine Review & Demonstration
If you’re looking for a sewing machine that balances ease of use with advanced functionality, the Janome 360DC is a smart pick. It’s fully computerised, simple to navigate and packed with features designed to support you as your skills grow. With 60 built-in stitches, including 7 automatic one-step buttonholes, you’ve got options for everything from dressmaking and quilting to crafts and custom projects.
The backlit LCD screen makes stitch selection clear and straightforward, while the width and length controls help you fine-tune the finish. This model includes an extension table and 6 inches of workspace to the right of the needle, giving you extra support for bulky projects like quilts or curtains. The flatbed also converts to a free arm, making it easier to sew sleeves, cuffs and trouser hems. What makes the 360DC stand out is how solid it feels in use. Frequently Asked Questions About the Janome 360DC
Let us help with the answers.
How is the Janome 360DC different from the 230DC?
The 360DC includes 60 built-in stitches, twice as many as the 230DC, plus 7 one-step buttonholes and extra decorative options. It also has a wider 6-inch workspace and comes with an extension table, giving you more room to work on larger makes.
Is it suitable for beginners?
Yes, but it’s not just for beginners. The 360DC is easy to get to grips with thanks to features like push-button stitch selection, speed control and a start/stop button. More advanced sewists will appreciate the extra stitch variety, adjustable foot pressure and strong, reliable build.
Does it have a needle threader and top-loading bobbin?
It does. You’ll find a built-in needle threader to save time and a top-loading, jam-proof bobbin system with a clear cover, so you can keep an eye on your thread supply as you sew.
Can it handle thick fabrics or multiple layers?
Yes, the 360DC has a strong motor and sturdy metal frame, giving it extra needle power. It sews smoothly through heavier fabrics like denim or layered quilting cotton with ease.
Does the 360DC support free-motion sewing?
It does. The drop feed lets you lower the feed dogs for free-motion quilting, embroidery or darning, ideal if you want to explore more creative techniques.
What can I make with the Janome 360DC?
It’s great for dressmaking, soft furnishings, quilting and craft projects. The powerful motor and extension table help when working with bulkier fabrics or detailed patterns, while the stitch options give you plenty of creative flexibility.
Our standard width fabric can be cut as a Fat Quarter, measuring 50cm x 1/2 the width of the bolt. Above is an example of how your fabric will be received, depending on the quantity ordered.
We also offer a sample service, where you can order 1 single fat quarter of any standard width fabric, to have at home and compare colours. When you are finished, you can send them back to us for a refund (feel free to contact us for more information on this service).
Our fabric can be cut as a Long Quarter, measuring a minimum of 25cm x width of bolt. We will supply the fabric as a continuous length (eg; if you bought 1.25m it will be sent as one piece of fabric).
