Calico High Grade Fabric

Calico High Grade is an unbleached cotton calico offering a smoother hand, tighter weave and improved durability compared with standard lightweight or mediumweight calicos. Sold by the metre and cut to your required length, it provides a refined natural base ideal for both functional sewing and detailed craft work.

This grade features a denser, more uniform weave, giving it better opacity, cleaner stitch definition and reduced fraying at cut edges. The enhanced stability makes it an excellent choice for toile work, pattern drafting, bag linings, craft production, embroidery bases and home‑décor projects. Its smooth, consistent surface also performs beautifully for dyeing, printing and surface‑design techniques, offering reliable results for textile artists.

Fabric will shrink by around 10% on first wash and a further 3% thereafter.
