Our standard width fabric can be cut as a Fat Quarter, measuring 50cm x 1/2 the width of the bolt. Above is an example of how your fabric will be received, depending on the quantity ordered.
We also offer a sample service, where you can order 1 single fat quarter of any standard width fabric, to have at home and compare colours. When you are finished, you can send them back to us for a refund (feel free to contact us for more information on this service).
Our fabric can be cut as a Long Quarter, measuring a minimum of 25cm x width of bolt. We will supply the fabric as a continuous length (eg; if you bought 1.25m it will be sent as one piece of fabric).

The front-loading jumbo bobbin holds significantly more thread than a standard bobbin, allowing you to sew for longer with fewer interruptions.
The 475 QE comes with a great selection of quilting accessories and a variety of BERNINA presser feet including the Patchwork Foot #37. To keep tools and accessories handy and organised, a nicely designed accessory case is included. 7-inches of workspace to the right of the needle gives you room to manoeuvre large and bulky projects with ease while the included slide-on extension table clicks into position to widen the working surface.
Across the 840 built-in stitches you'll find 29 utility stitches, 200 decorative stitches, 40 quilting stitches, 13 cross-stitch programs and 4 sewing alphabets. 10 buttonhole styles include an automatic buttonhole with length-measuring and a manual multi-step option for thicker fabrics. The 5.5mm stitch width and 11 needle positions give you precise placement on topstitching, appliqué and decorative work. Is the BERNINA 475 QE right for a confident beginner, or only experienced sewers?

Do I need to buy the BERNINA Stitch Regulator separately?
Yes. The 475 QE is BSR compatible - it is an optional accessory and purchased separately. Many quilters start with the included Patchwork Foot #37 and add the BSR later once free-motion becomes part of their regular work.
How does the jumbo bobbin change the way I sew?
Practically, you reload less often, which matters most on long continuous seams, quilt rows and machine-pieced blocks. The lower thread indicator gives you a heads-up before the bobbin runs out, so you can finish a seam rather than being stopped partway.
What is the Patchwork Foot #37 for?
It's a straight-stitch foot engraved with quarter-inch markings on both sides of the needle, designed for piecing. The guide on the side of the foot keeps your seam allowance consistent, which is the foundation of accurate patchwork blocks and neatly-matched quilt tops.
