Bernina 570 QE Sewing Machine Review

The 570 QE is jam packed with many different stitches to use for any project, not just quilting! You’ll find that already programmed into the machine are 1450 Stitches. Of those, 16 of them are automatic 1-step buttonholes, and it includes eight different alphabets. You can easily customise any stitch, too, by length and width! You can get a maximum length of 6mm and a maximum width of 9mm. You’ll be able to really tailor your sewing experience to both your skills and the project you’re working on.

If you’re an experienced sewist, you’ll love how fast this machine goes! You can get a maximum sewing speed of 1,000 stitches per minute! But, if you want to slow it down a bit if you’re not as confident or you want to make sure you’re being extra careful with a delicate project, you easily can with the slider on the front of the machine.

This machine is also really well-lit. It has 12 LED lights by the needle and in the throat area to really illuminate your sewing project as you work on it. Having proper lighting will really make sewing any project much more enjoyable and less strenuous.

If you’re into quilting, especially free motion quilting, you’ll love the Bernina stitch regulator that comes with this machine! It keeps all of your stitches even, no matter how fast you work. You could be doing ruler work and moving slowly or you could be stitching at top speed and your stitches will all look the same!

Did you know that this machine has another, optional function, too? That’s right! It can double as an embroidery machine! This optional function is made possible through the use of an additional embroidery unit, purchased separately. Machine embroidery can really enhance any project you can think of, from monogramming and labelling kids’ possessions to making extra special, personalised quilt labels.

Once the additional embroidery unit has been obtained, you’ll have access to 250 embroidery designs that are already programmed into the Bernina 750 QE Sewing Machine. That’s a lot of different designs to be able to choose between, plus you can download any machine embroidery design from the internet and use it via the USB port on the side of the sewing machine- you’ll be able to create anything you want with this machine. With this embroidery unit, you’ll have a maximum embroidery space of 15.7 inches by 5.9 inches or 400mm by 150 mm. That’s a large space to create on!
