The lever hangs from the front of the machine to below your sewing table so that you can easily bump it with your knee to either lift or lower the presser foot as needed on the sewing machine.

One of our favourite features of this sewing machine is that it comes with Dual Feed included! What is Dual Feed? To put it simply, it’s a built-in walking foot! Dual feed means that the machine functions with 2 separate sets of feed dogs that work in tandem with each other, one set in the usual spot below the presser foot and the second built into the presser foot itself to feed all layers of fabric through at an even rate. This feature is great for projects with multiple layers of fabric, delicate fabrics, and thicker fabrics, as well as quilting, garment sewing, and upholstery alike!

The Bernette B77 comes equipped with an automatic tie-off function. There’s no need to reverse at the end of every seam to lock your stitches anymore! Instead, hit the designated button on the front of the machine and it will automatically recognise the end of a seam and lock the stitch so that you can avoid bulky seams.

You’ll love that the B77 comes with an extension table included. Extension tables literally extend your working space and give you more room to work and more support underneath your fabric. And this machine already comes with a great amount of workspace in the flatbed! You’ll find 9 inches of workspace to the right of the needle! That’s plenty of room for moderately sized quilts to fit through as you quilt them! You also have 4 bright LED lights throughout your workspace. That way you won’t be sewing in the dark, straining your eyes as you work.
