The baby lock single fold bias binder with guide rake 40mm is a precision attachment designed to bind raw fabric edges - such as necklines, armholes and openings - using a single‑fold jersey or bias strip. It feeds a 40 mm wide strip into a shaped channel that folds the upper side of the tape inward while leaving the underside flat, producing a 15 mm finished single‑fold binding. This technique reduces bulk and is especially effective on thick, voluminous or structured fabrics, where clean folding can be more difficult.
The integrated guide rake applies gentle tension to the fabric strip as it enters the binder, helping to keep it flat and preventing curling or twisting. Retailers highlight that this added control is particularly useful when working with jersey, stretch fabrics, activewear and heavier materials, ensuring the binding feeds smoothly and maintains consistent width throughout stitching.
This binder is suitable for use with coverstitch or double‑chain stitch, giving you a strong, flexible finish ideal for garments and decorative applications. Compatible with Gloria, Ovation, Euphoria, Aspire and Primo.
Whether you're binding knitwear, finishing necklines or adding bold contrast edging, the 40 mm single fold binder with guide rake delivers speed, accuracy and a ready‑to‑wear quality finish.
