Whether you're picking up a needle for the first time or you're an experienced maker with a specific project in mind, our experts will take the time to understand what you want to create and match you with the right machine - no pressure, just honest advice tailored to you.

Should your new machine not be quite right, we'll collect it free of charge and arrange an exchange or full refund.

Buy with confidence. When you purchase a machine recommended through our Machine Match Service, you're covered by our Machine Match Promise. If the machine can't do what we said it could, contact us within 14 days of receiving it and we'll exchange it or give you a full refund. To be covered by the Machine Match Promise, simply purchase within 3 days of receiving your follow-up email. Read the full terms here.

Our Machine Match Service is a free, personalised recommendation service designed to help you find the perfect sewing machine for your needs. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced sewer looking to upgrade, we'll match you with the machine that suits your sewing style, budget and ambitions.

How does it work?

Simply fill in our online Machine Match form, telling us about your sewing experience, the projects you love (or want to try) and your budget. One of our experts will review your answers and send you a personalised follow-up email with tailored recommendations.

Is the Machine Match Service free?

Yes, completely free! There's no obligation to buy and we're happy to answer any follow-up questions you might have.

How long will it take to receive my recommendations?

We aim to send your personalised recommendations as quickly as possible, usually within 24 hours. You'll receive a follow-up email from our team once we've reviewed your form.

How will you contact me with my recommendations?

You can choose on the form whether you'd prefer to be contacted by email or phone; we'll get back to you in whichever way suits you best.

Are the prices quoted in my recommendation guaranteed?

All prices quoted in your Machine Match follow-up email are correct at the time of sending but are subject to change. We'd recommend acting on your recommendation sooner rather than later to avoid missing out and do get in touch if you have any questions about current pricing.

What if I'm not sure what I want to sew?

Absolutely. Just reply to your Machine Match follow-up email and we'll be happy to help with any questions.

What if I want to try a machine before I buy?

We'd love to see you in store! Get in touch and we can arrange for you to try out any machines you're considering.

I've already got a machine - can I still use the service?

Of course. Whether you're looking to add an overlocker, embroidery machine or coverstitch machine to your setup, or simply want to upgrade what you have, the Machine Match Service can help.

What if the machine isn't for me?

We stand behind every recommendation we make. If the machine we suggested isn't right for your projects, just get in touch within 14 calendar days of receiving it and we'll arrange free collection, exchange it for something more suitable, or offer a full refund if no better alternative exists, that's our Machine Match Promise. We'll always try to help you get the most from your machine first, as most things can be sorted with a quick call. Do bear in mind the Promise covers the requirements and budget you shared with us and to qualify, you'll need to have purchased within 72 hours of receiving your follow-up email. Full terms are included in your follow-up email.
