Did you know that there’s no need to purchase a walking foot for the Pfaff Select 4.2 sewing machine? That’s right! This sewing machine comes with the Original IDT™ System dual feed system. That means that your fabric will be fed through the machine evenly as the feed dogs on the presser foot work in time with the feed dogs underneath your fabric.

It’s also more accurate than a traditional walking foot as it uses a different mechanism to move the upper feed dogs than a traditional walking foot would use. If you’re working with thick or slippery fabrics, or even a lot of layers, this feature is absolutely necessary! Quilters will love it, too, when adding binding to a quilt or even basting!

If you’re at all worried about lighting, you’ll be happy to learn that the Select 4.2 is a very well-lit sewing machine. The LED Lights really illuminate your workspace so that you can very clearly see the project you’re working on without straining your eyes.

This sewing machine has a decent sized workspace for a smaller machine. You’ll find that you have 6 inches of workspace to the right of the needle on the Select 4.2. 6 inches is on the small side, but you can easily fit a throw-sized quilt carefully rolled up while binding or quilting.

There’s also a sensor on the bobbin winder so that winding stops automatically when your bobbin is full. There’s no need to babysit your bobbin as it winds, you can get to prepping other sewing supplies while you wind your bobbin. And you’ll be able to get to sewing just a little bit faster.
