If it’s something that’s compact, easy to use, and budget friendly while still having features that you could consider as a luxury, then the Janome M100QDC Sewing Machine is one you’ll want to take notice of! plus. it’s great for any skill level.
Janome sewing machines are built a little different than other brands. Most Janome sewing machines have an aluminium frame, that makes the machine sturdy, but lightweight. And then they cover it and all of the moving parts with a plastic casing that is decently durable, too, but easily replaced if ever damaged. That means that their sewing machines, including the M100QDC, are lightweight and easy to move from room to room or from class to class if that’s something you plan on doing.
This sewing machine is loaded with stitches! You’ll find that the M100QDC has 100 stitches (hence the name!), 7 of which are 1-step automatic buttonholes. With so many stitches, it can be overwhelming to navigate the choices however, with this machine you’ll find direct stitch selection of the 4 most popular stitches! It’s easy to choose the stitch you need. And just as easy to customise any of them! You’ll be able to get up to a 7mm width on most stitches.
The M100QDC isn’t lacking in other features either. You’ll have access to a needle threader that allows you to thread the machine quickly and without frustration, an automatic thread cutter to trim your thread tails before you even pull it away from the needle, and a start/stop button that makes using the foot control optional.
You’ll appreciate the LCD Screen with backlight, too. It’s easy to read and understand everything on the screen. And speaking of lights, you’ll love how well-lit the throat of this sewing machine is. It’s equipped with LED lights so that you aren’t sewing in shadow and can see your work as you feed it through the machine.
The Janome M100QDC can stitch up to 820 stitches per minute for a quick job. But don’t let that intimidate you, you can always slow it down using the speed slider on the front of the machine and you can control it with the pressure sensitive foot control. You’ll be able to sew as fast or slow as you need!
We love it when a sewing machine comes with an extension table included! It helps to extend your sewing space for extra large projects to keep them supported so that they don’t pull away from your needle. But you’ll also be able to convert your sewing machine so that you can use the free arm to sew cuffs or other small bits, and then back into the traditional flat bed for any other projects you can put to your needle.
This machine is a great size for any project or sewing space. It’s 410mm wide by 300mm tall by 180mm deep and it weighs 6.4kg. It’s small enough to store easily and not take up too much space, but it’s large enough to work on any project you can handle!
