The Janome HD2200 sewing machine can handle many different thicknesses of fabric. You’ll be able to sew thicker fabrics like denim with ease, but also be able to work on more delicate fabrics such as satin or organza without any trouble. That’s why it’s a great machine for any kind of sewist!
One of the best things about mechanical-only sewing machines is that selecting stitches and changing settings is usually easy, and the Janome HD2200 is no different. The simple dial controls on the front of the machine are easy to turn and change. You’ll also have an easy-to-read display that tells you everything you need to know about the stitch you’ve selected, including which presser foot you should be using!
The Janome HD 2200 has 23 stitches for you to choose from. That includes 1 automatic 1-step buttonhole! They’re all utility and stretch stitches that will aid you in any kind of project you’re wanting to create.
You’ll be able to customise your stitches, too, with the HD2200! You can get a maximum 6.5mm stitch width and easily change that and the stitch length with the dials on the front of the machine.
One of our favourite features of the Janome HD 2200 sewing machine is that it has a top loading bobbin. Drop-in bobbins like this are less likely to jam and nest thread. They’re also easier to clean since you can see all of the working mechanisms and find any dust bunnies easier since they’re under the work light on the machine. There’s no need to bend over to look into the machine or to shine a flashlight while trying to brush out all of the lint.
