Brother VQ2 Sewing Machine Review

The Brother VQ2 Sewing Machine might just be the right machine for you. It’s great for intermediate to advanced sewists who need extra working space and a fast motor.
When we say sewing machines have a fast motor, this machine means business. While it’s not quite as fast as an industrial sewing machine, it’s still a workhorse! It comes in at a speed of 1050 stitches per minute. You’ll be finishing projects in the blink of an eye!
The VQ2 is jam packed with different stitching options. You’ll have 473 unique stitches. That includes 14 buttonholes and 5 alphabets! You’ll be able to create professional-looking garments with that many buttonholes and design quilt labels that will last longer than the old sharpie method. And you can customise your stitches by length and width. There’s really nothing you can’t create with this sewing machine!
If you’re working on large projects or delicate applique work, you might want to be able to keep your hands on your work instead of having to lift the presser foot in order to pivot your work or pull it away from the machine. That’s where a knee lift comes in! The knee lift is a lever that hangs from the front of the machine, just out of the way, so that you can control the presser foot with the touch of your knee. And the Brother VQ2 sewing machine comes with one!
The Brother VQ2 machine is equipped with Brother’s patented ICAPS system. ICAPS stands for continuous automatic pressure system and works to change the pressure of your presser foot as needed so that your fabric feeds through the machine evenly and smoothly.
You’ll love the extra-large LCD touchscreen that controls the entire machine. It’s easy to read and see and is reactive to your touch, so you don’t have to press too hard on the screen to select your stitch or customise anything.
And this sewing machine is well endowed in available workspace. You’ll find that it has 8 inches of workspace to the right of the needle. That’s a lot of space so you can easily quilt larger quilts and work on complicated patterns without having to fight with fabric or the machine as you work.
