When we’re not at work, The Sewing Studio team are usually found stitching, cutting, making and creating. Here’s some of our latest makes to get you inspired...

Johanna, one of our sales assistants and our queen of haberdashery made a quilted tote bag for her daughter with the Makower Beguiled collection. She used her Janome Atelier 3.

Liz in our marketing team is a beginner quilter & has made a 2.5inch square checkerboard quilted cushion in a mix of French General and Kaffe Fassett Shot Cotton Fabrics with size 6 piping cord and recycled cotton wadding. She used the Boat Cushion tutorial by Jeanette as a guide. She uses a Brother SH40 sewing machine.

Anna, our customer services manager, is a proficient sewer and quilter. She recently altered a dress for Flora Day, an ancient Cornish spring festival to celebrate the end of winter held in the town of Helston. The dress was made from a mix of netting and polyester which is often tricky to sew but her beloved Janome Memory Craft 6700P machine made light work of it.

Louisa is a sales assistant and specialises in sewing & embroidery machine sales. She loves cats and has made a small wall hanging using a pattern by KEEP It Together Quilts by Kelly Lund. She used a mix of Makower white on white stars, Ruby Star Speckled both for the cat and the heart and Moda French General Roche Tan. She chose cotton wadding and Gutterman Sulky Variegated thread for quilting. She also uses a Janome Memory Craft 6700P machine.

Jenny is a sales assistant too and an all-round crafting and crochet genius. She made a new quilted cat bed for her pet Balou using Here Kitty Kitty and Bella Solids fabrics, recycled wadding and recycled toy filling. She used a pattern from Joe June & Mae and sewed on her Janome 5060 QDC.
