Sewing:

This machine has not just a bit of everything, but a lot of everything. It boasts over 700 sewing stitches including 16 buttonhole styles and 4 different fonts. You’ll be able to create anything you set your mind to with this machine! From quilts to dressmaking to sewing bags and upholstery, there are stitches for every sewing occasion. And you can customise your stitches to a maximum length of 5mm and width of 7mm.

It has so many different high-end features that you’ll be sewing in the lap of luxury. That includes a knee lift, automatic thread cutter, automatic needle up/down button, built-in needle threader, and so much more! You’ll love the independent bobbin winder that allows you to wind a bobbin without having to unthread the machine.

If you’re at all worried about working space, you shouldn’t be with the Brother Innov-is XJ1! You’ll have 11 inches of working space to the right of the needle as well as a high throat space so that you can easily quilt larger quilts by simply rolling them up in the throat area.

This machine is also fast! It sews at a maximum speed 1050 stitches per minute! You’ll be able to finish projects quickly and swiftly with this sewing machine.

Embroidery:

This combination sewing and embroidery machine is a domestic machine. That means that you can only work with 1 thread at a time, even while embroidering. But, this machine makes it much easier to use because you can wind a bobbin as it works with it’s separate bobbin winder motor!

You’ll have plenty of space to create amazing embroidery designs. It has a maximum embroidery workspace of 240mmx360mm, which is quite large for a domestic embroidery machine. You'll be able to monogram towels, quilt large block, and add large designs to jacket backs and so much more!

But how many designs come with the machine? Is it enough to start embroidering as soon as you get the machine home and open the box? With over 700 designs preprogrammed into the machine, including embroidery fonts, 101 Disney-specific designs, and many different lettering fonts, you’re set to create whatever you desire as soon as you unbox it at home!

And with its WiFi capabilities, you’ll be able to connect to an app to create new designs on your phone or tablet. You can also upload any design you purchase online via the USB ports on the side of the machine.

The Innov-is XJ1 also offers on screen editing. Since it has a full colour touchscreen, you’ll be able to edit any design. You can make designs bigger or smaller, change their direction, move their positioning in the hoop, and add other designs to the hoop to stitch them at the same time.
