Gunold Solvy 80 Ultra is a heavy-weight water-soluble film that dissolves when it comes into contact with water. You can embroider directly onto Solvy Ultra without any other fabric, Ideal for lace embroidery and in the hoop work.
Gunold Solvy 80 Ultra Should be firmly hooped in an embroidery hoop for direct embroidery, without using fabric or any additional stabiliser. The result is an incredibly soft, flexible piece of embroidery. The finished pattern is then simply torn out of the Solvy film, badges can be produced more quickly and efficiently. Even cutwork embroideries like Richelieu or free-standing lace can neatly be created with this special water-soluble film, as film residues completely dissolve in water.

Price is per 1/4 metre x the width of the Solvy film which is 100cm, multiple purchases will be cut in one continuous length e.g. 5 x 1 metre would be cut as one 5 metre piece.
Our standard width fabric can be cut as a Fat Quarter, measuring 50cm x 1/2 the width of the bolt. Above is an example of how your fabric will be received, depending on the quantity ordered.
We also offer a sample service, where you can order 1 single fat quarter of any standard width fabric, to have at home and compare colours. When you are finished, you can send them back to us for a refund (feel free to contact us for more information on this service).
Our fabric can be cut as a Long Quarter, measuring a minimum of 25cm x width of bolt. We will supply the fabric as a continuous length (eg; if you bought 1.25m it will be sent as one piece of fabric).
