Orders, Delivery & Returns
Do you offer finance options for sewing machines or large orders?
Yes. We offer flexible finance options, including Klarna, PayPal Credit and Novuna to spread the cost of your purchase. Choose from Pay in 3, Pay in 30 days, or longer-term plans with low deposits and no hidden fees. For full details on eligibility and how to apply, visit our finance options page.
What happens if I’m not home when my delivery arrives?
All sewing machine deliveries require someone to be present to accept the order. Our delivery partner uses a secure PIN code system for your protection—you will receive a unique PIN by email or text to complete the delivery.
To ensure a successful delivery:
- Add a mobile number at checkout so you receive delivery notifications.
- Track your parcel in real time on the day of delivery.
- Check your contact details are correct so you receive your PIN.
- Be at the delivery address to accept the delivery.
If no one is available when the courier arrives the delivery will be rearranged. If you know you won’t be home on the scheduled day, use the tracking link from DPD to choose an alternative slot.
Can I arrange delivery for a weekend?
Yes, weekend delivery is available for sewing machines. Saturday and Sunday delivery is free for machines over £300.
- Saturday delivery: place your order by 3 pm on Friday.
- Sunday delivery: place your order by 3 pm on Friday.
Orders placed after 3 pm Friday will be scheduled for the following weekend or the next available weekday.
Are there different delivery options for large machines?
Yes. Some larger sewing machines (such as the Brother VR, PR1X, PR680W, PR1055 and PR1060W) are delivered on pallets. These deliveries require a pre-arranged weekday delivery slot. We will contact you after you place your order to arrange a convenient time. Standard machines are sent via courier and don’t require pre-arrangement.
Can I track my order?
Yes. Once your order is despatched you’ll receive tracking details by text and/or email. You can then track your order here using your details.
How quickly will my order be despatched?
Sewing machines ordered before 3 pm (Monday to Friday) are despatched the same day for next-day delivery.
For other items:
- Royal Mail Tracked 24: Orders before 12 pm despatched the same day; orders after 12 pm despatched the next working day.
- Royal Mail Tracked 48: Despatched within 2 working days.
During peak periods such as Black Friday or major sales, dispatch may take longer. Full details are on our delivery information page.
Can I only order online?
No. You can shop with us in three ways: through our website, at our Redruth showroom, or by calling 01209 216942. Our friendly team is available to help you choose the right product however you prefer to shop.
Do you offer international shipping?
Yes, we ship to selected destinations including Canada, Australia and several European countries. Sewing machines are only available to UK-based customers and can be dispatched to UK addresses only. Additional taxes or duties may apply depending on your location. See our delivery and returns page for the latest list.
Are there additional delivery charges for remote areas?
Deliveries to some remote areas may take longer and could incur additional charges. This includes Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands. If additional delivery costs apply, we will contact you before despatch.
Do your products come with a guarantee?
Brand new sewing machines come with a full manufacturer’s warranty, which varies by brand. For more information visit our machine warranty and support page. Most other items are covered by our standard returns policy.
Can I cancel my order?
If your order hasn’t been fulfilled yet you can request a cancellation through our Help Centre. If it’s already on its way, you can still return it within 14 days of receiving it. Everything you need to know is in our returns policy.
What’s your return and exchange policy?
Items cut to length (such as fabric or ribbon), opened software, machines purchased via finance (with repayments already started) and downloadable products cannot be returned unless faulty. All other items can be returned within 14 days of receipt. See our returns policy page for the full details.
Account & Payments
How do I create and manage my account?
Click the profile icon at the top of the site to log in or register. From your account dashboard you can view orders, submit return requests and update your personal details.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Klarna and Apple Pay. All available payment options are shown at checkout.
How do I use a discount code?
Enter your code in the “Discount code” box in your cart or at checkout and click Apply. If valid, the discount will be shown before you complete payment.

How can I contact your customer support team?
You can reach us through live chat on our website or by raising a support request via the Help Centre. We aim to respond as quickly as possible.
Do you have a physical store I can visit?
Yes! We’re based in Redruth, Cornwall and open Monday to Saturday from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm. There’s free customer parking and accessible entry at the rear.

How do I choose the right sewing machine?

How do I set up my new sewing machine?
Follow your machine’s manual for threading, bobbin winding and tension settings. Most machines include quick-start guides or QR codes with step-by-step tutorials.
How do I maintain my sewing machine?

Do you supply second-hand sewing machines?
Yes. We offer part-exchange sewing machines and ex-demonstration models at reduced prices. Every machine is inspected and serviced by our engineers before sale. Browse our ex-display collection or explore our full range of new machines.

Fabric FAQs
How is fabric sold?
We sell fabric in two ways:
- By the quarter metre: order in multiples of 0.25m and you’ll receive a continuous length.
- Fat Quarters: pre-cut pieces around 50cm x 55cm, perfect for patchwork and quilting.

What is the minimum cut length for fabric?
Regular-priced fabrics can be ordered from 0.25m or a single Fat Quarter. Sale or offer fabrics have a 0.5m minimum. Every order is cut to length so you can buy exactly what you need.
Will my fabric order be sent as one continuous piece?
Yes, wherever possible we cut fabric as a single continuous length. If we ever need to split your order, we’ll contact you before despatch.
How accurate are your fabric colours?
We photograph our fabrics carefully, but screen settings and lighting can affect how colours appear. If you’re colour-matching, get in touch and we’ll offer guidance.
Do you offer fabric samples?
We’re unable to offer samples, but our product pages include detailed descriptions, specifications and high-resolution images to help you choose.
