Pfaff Admire Air 5000 Overlocker Review

While all of the overlockers we carry here at The Sewing Studio are great machines, some are made with features that truly set them apart from the rest. And the Pfaff Admire Air 5000 Overlocker is one of those special machines! Pfaff makes truly great machines for sewing, overlocking, and embroidery. And the Admire Air 5000 Overlocker is one of those machines. It’s durable and easy to use and really lets you have creative freedom!
With this machine, you’ll be able to access 15 different stitch variations. And you’ll have access to 2, 3, & 4 thread options. It’s also important to note that this machine is capable of sewing a rolled hem, too, for those delicate fabrics and putting that perfect finished touch on your projects. And you’ll be able to customise your lengths to be between 1mm to 4mm and widths between 3mm and 6.7mm. It’s really and truly a versatile machine, this overlocker.
With so many different options, you’ll be able to work on a wide array of different projects. You’ll be able to create intricate ballgowns or work create durable home décor. Overlock machines might seem like they’re only meant for garment sewing, especially hemming and seaming, but they can be used to create the sturdiest of seams on any project type.
It should be noted that the Admire Air 5000 Overlocker is easy to thread. We know that threading overlockers can seem very daunting, but the lay-in tension dials and colour-coded threading guides make threading the Admire Air 5000 very easy! And to be honest, this machine is even easier to thread than other overlockers that have lay-in tension dials. Why? Because it has air threading capabilities! You’ll be able to thread those pesky loopers with the simple press of a button.
Another one of our favourite features of this machine is that this overlocker has an adaptable workspace. This machine, first of all, converts into a free arm so that you can work on hems and cuffs on shirt sleeves and trousers. It also comes with an extension table! With an extension table, you’ll expand your working space and be able to really work on large projects that need that extra support like large skirts or curtains.
